The artist
RHEAsilvia
In her atelier in Pöttsching, Austria, RHEAsilvia gives the goddesses of prehistoric and ancient Europe a body in clay. Her sculptures grow from a fascination with mythology and the many forms of the feminine.
Each monumental goddess is built by hand in three parts, painted and fired two or three times. Months of work go into a single piece. No moulds, no editions: every sculpture is one of a kind.
