Artemis
Hand-built ceramic · one of a kind
Artemis was born first, and moments later turned midwife, helping her mother Leto deliver her twin brother Apollo. She has protected the vulnerable ever since her first hour. As a girl she asked Zeus for a single gift: never to marry, and to run forever through the wild places of the world. He gave her the mountains.
She is the goddess of the hunt and the moon, of animals and of girls at the threshold of womanhood. Her bow was forged by the Cyclopes; her companions are nymphs and hounds; her temper is legend: Actaeon saw her bathing and was torn apart by his own dogs. At Ephesus her temple stood among the Seven Wonders of the ancient world, and there she was worshipped as a great mother of all living things. Untouched, untamed, entirely her own.
Artemis obeys no one. Neither does the kiln. Flame and glaze leave marks no hand can plan. The Artemis sculpture is hand-built from clay, painted and fired in the atelier: one of a kind, wild by nature.
Bring her home
Every goddess exists exactly once. When she finds her home, she is gone. If she speaks to you, write to us. There is no obligation in asking.
