Freya

Hand-built ceramic · one of a kind

Freya, “the Lady”, is the great goddess of the North: love and beauty, seiðr magic and battle, all in one figure. She rides a chariot drawn by two cats and wears a cloak of falcon feathers that lets her cross between the worlds. When she weeps for her lost husband, her tears fall as gold.

Around her throat lies Brísingamen, the necklace of fire forged by four dwarf smiths. She paid dearly for it, and no story lets her regret it. Half of all who fall in battle are hers by right; they feast in her hall Fólkvangr before Odin claims his share. It was Freya who taught magic to Odin himself. She is desire without shame and power without apology, which is why the old poets called every noble woman by her name.

Brísingamen was forged in fire. So was she. The Freya sculpture is hand-built from clay at atelier RHEAsilvia, painted, then given to the kiln. One of a kind; no casts, no editions.

Bring her home

Every goddess exists exactly once. When she finds her home, she is gone. If she speaks to you, write to us. There is no obligation in asking.
