Commission
Commission a goddess
The monumental goddesses, 130 to 225 centimetres of hand-built ceramic, change hands through conversation, not a shopping cart. Some are finished and waiting in the atelier; others begin with you.
A monumental goddess is a commitment of months: built hollow by hand in three parts, dried slowly, fired two or three times in the kiln. Every price is quoted on request, depending on size and complexity; delivery is by specialist art transport. If a goddess in the gallery speaks to you, or if you carry one in mind that does not exist yet, write to us. There is no obligation in asking.

The process
From conversation to arrival
The conversation.
You tell us which goddess, and where she will stand: garden, temple space, a room with air to breathe. We answer with what is possible, a price range and a timeframe.
The design.
For a new commission, Silvia works out the figure with you before the first clay is touched.
The building.
Months of work: built up by hand, hollow, in three parts. You receive photographs from the atelier as she grows.
The fire.
Two or three kiln firings. Clay, glaze and fire decide the final surface. This is where she becomes a one of a kind.
The arrival.
Packed by hand and delivered by specialist art transport. From then on she is yours, and there will never be another.
The enquiry
Begin the conversation
Tell us which goddess speaks to you, or the one you carry in mind, and where she would stand. There is no obligation in asking.
